Stephanie Ojeda, PsyD works in The Chesapeake Center’s Columbia, MD office and specializes in helping children, adolescents and adults with ADHD and other conditions, including mood disorders and learning disabilities. Her work focuses on issues including behavioral, emotional, academic, workplace challenges, and daily life management skills.
Dr. Ojeda assists professional adults to manage their executive functioning struggles and also works with adults who present with a range of emotional needs, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorders, with a combined cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approach.
Dr. Ojeda offers support in the transition to college. She guides young adults in selecting courses and college majors, and in developing effective study skills, accessing accommodations on the college campus, self-advocacy skills, and time management. She focuses on helping them develop life-skills to promote a healthy sense of independence.
Dr. Ojeda provides support for young adults who are unable to move forward with their lives, as well as for the parents of these young adults.
Dr. Ojeda offers parent coaching where she collaboratively develops ADHD-friendly environments. She also helps teachers understand the specific needs of children and collaborates with them to provide accommodations custom-designed for each child.
Education and Training:
Dr. Ojeda earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and music from Lehigh University and her master’s in clinical psychology from American University. She graduated with her doctorate in clinical psychology from Widener University, with a concentration in family therapy and school psychology. Dr. Ojeda is a certified school psychologist and did postdoctoral work at the Baltimore Lab School.

Dr. Ojeda is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Maryland. She is a native Spanish-speaker and is able to provide clinical services in Spanish.
