Tina Celenza Remillard, PA-C, MPH, MSCP, CAQ Psychiatry (she/her) is a board-certified psychiatric physician assistant with over 20 years of experience in internal medicine and psychiatric care, giving her a unique perspective on the complex relationship between physical and mental health. At The Chesapeake Center, she specializes in treating ADHD across the lifespan, with a focus on how hormonal shifts such as those during puberty and perimenopause.
Hormonal Treatment: As a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner and longtime provider of gender-affirming hormonal treatment, she is particularly passionate about recognizing and treating ADHD in older adults, a population often overlooked despite the significant impact untreated symptoms can have on daily functioning and quality of life. Tina offers inclusive, evidence-based care. Her integrative approach supports each patient’s growth through personalized strategies that combine psychiatric and hormonal medication management, behavioral interventions, and preventative care.
Trauma-informed Care: Tina operates from a trauma-informed lens, fostering safety, trust, and collaboration throughout the treatment process. She recognizes the lasting impact of trauma across the lifespan, including how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) shape mental and physical health outcomes well into adulthood.
Older Adults with ADHD: Tina is particularly passionate about recognizing and treating ADHD in older adults, a population often overlooked despite the significant impact untreated symptoms can have on daily functioning and quality of life. Over the past 20 years, Tina has treated many older adults with ADHD and appreciates the significant positive impact that continued treatment plays in the lives of older adults.
Education and Training:
Tina completed her undergraduate degree at Tulane University where she was a Women’s Studies major. She holds a Master of Science in Health Sciences and a Master of Public Health from George Washington University, where she completed her physician assistant training.
Tina is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Psychiatry.
Before joining The Chesapeake Center, Tina spent her professional career of over 20 years at Whitman-Walker Health, a nationally recognized leader in LGBTQ+ healthcare, where she continues to practice part-time. She also serves as a national consultant on gender-affirming hormonal treatment through TransLine.org.
A former professional figure skater and longtime skating coach, Tina brings a strong mind-body perspective to her clinical work. She lives in the Washington, DC area with her wife, teenage son, and two cats.
